Workplace Gender Equality Agency


The Workplace Gender Equality Agency is an Australian Government statutory agency charged with promoting and improving gender equality in Australian workplaces in accordance with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 (the Act). The Agency’s vision is for women and men to be equally represented, valued and rewarded in the workplace.


The Agency works collaboratively with employers to help them comply with the reporting requirements under the Act and provides advice, practical tools and education to improve gender performance.

To become a Pay Equity Ambassador, your organisation must have:

  • Undertaken a pay gap analysis of its workforce in the last two years,

  • Taken action on the results, and

  • Communicated their pay equity initiatives to their employees.
