What You’ll Do
Do you want to play a meaningful role in driving the most important changes ever seen in the history of networks? The ANZ Enterprise Networking team is looking for a passionate and articulate Sales Specialist (SS) who will specialise in Software Defined Networking (SDN) for Service Provider Campus and Branch networks.
This role focuses on driving sales and pipeline growth of Cisco’s newest and most exciting products and technologies. As an SDN SS, you will uncover ways in which Cisco’s Digital Network Architecture (DNA) and Meraki cloud-managed solutions can benefit our Service Provider customers. This will be essential to your success in developing and executing a DNA sales strategy, in partnership with the Cisco sales and partner teams. You will demonstrate a strong Campus and Branch Network knowledge set across SD-WAN, Routing, Switching, Network Management, Automation and Wireless.
The key goals of the SDN PSS are:
- Drive EN revenue, sales pipeline and focus across the designated territory
- Drive software sales and recurring revenue via Cisco DNA and Meraki
- Evangelise the benefits of SDN, delivered via Cisco DNA and Meraki
- Drive customer success via the adoption of DNA capabilities
- Nurture specialist partner relationships
Who You'll Work With

The role will require you to work cross-functionally across Cisco and in partnership with our channel to develop compelling sales offers. You will join the strongest product sales specialist team in the industry and peer with Account Managers, Technical Solution Architects, Account focused System Engineers and peer PSSs who are invested in your success. Who You Are
You will be self-driven and have a background in selling core networking and software. Interpreting technology for the customers benefit is fundamental to success. You will have excellent communication skills which extend to customer presentations, whiteboarding and product demonstrations. You will be able to strategically handle relationships with cross functional sales and services teams. The role will also require you to engage with the Cisco Business Units, to influence product development and to ensure that the requirements of the ANZ market are prioritised.
You will also have the following attributes:
- At least 8+ years of validated relevant industry experience
- Pre-Sales/Sales experience
- Typically requires BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent.
- CCNP CCDP or similar vendor Certification Highly Regarded.
- Deep understanding of Branch and Campus connectivity technologies including SD-WAN, Wireless, Automation, Switching, Routing.
- Self starter, with a hunger for knowledge
- Strong aptitude for commercial and business concepts
- Strong team player
- Excellent presentation skills
- Experience in Software Defined Networking advantageous
