About the opportunity

Our current workload within the water engineering business has grown substantially and we are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Engineer. This role reports to the Water Solutions Section Leader in our Perth office. You will work on a wide variety of irrigation, water and wastewater infrastructure projects, providing project management and technical support in all aspects of planning and design. As part of the role, you will be involved in developing proposals and winning work.

About you

To be considered for this role, you will have demonstrated experience in technical delivery of water, wastewater or irrigation projects. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to work well individually and as part of a team. In this role you will have the opportunity to regularly work alongside professional consultants from a range of other disciplines as well as national and global water resources experts.
In addition, you will have\:
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in water and wastewater engineering, with design experience in treatment plants, pipelines and pump stations viewed favourably
  • Ability to work with clients and prepare proposals
  • Ability to coach and mentor graduates and junior consultants
  • Ability to work well individually and collaboratively within teams, across various offices
  • Strong project management and understanding of project financials
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience within consulting industry would be highly regarded
