About the role

As our next Diesel Fitter reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.

The QCoal Northern Hub is situated in the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland, about 6km south of Collinsville.

  • Work safely and comply with the Site Safety Health and Management System.
  • Be highly motivated, and committed to deliver quality results.
  • Perform servicing, repairs and maintenance of the fleet in the workshop and in the field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CAT D10/11T, CAT 16M, CAT 789C, 777D/F, Hitachi Excavators and Rear Dump Trucks
  • Follow work order instructions and complete all paperwork to a high standard
  • Ensure good housekeeping standards are always maintained ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Have a good work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement, be able to work as an individual with in the maintenance team.
  • Commitment to Risk Management and Safe Work

The QCoal Northern Hub maintenance area continues to evolve and is committed to implementing changes that improve fitters working environment and conditions.

Roster & Conditions

  • 7 on 7 off rotating shift roster
  • 12.5-hour day & night shift
  • Permanent position
  • Camp Accommodation provided
  • Bus will be provided from Townsville to site
  • Salary sacrifice fights available

About you

To be successful in this role you are required to have:

  • Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting or relevant equivalent
  • Post-trade experience working in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry
  • Experience in General Maintenance, Breakdowns, Component Change Outs and Servicing of Heavy Earth Moving Equipment
  • Demonstrated experience with Hitachi, Cummins and Cat HME
