About the project
Overseen by managing contractor Laing O’Rourke, the Australia-Singapore Military Training Initiative (ASMTI) Facilities Project is a unique international defence project in the central Queensland region valued in the order of $800M. The ASMTI project will see new facilities and upgraded infrastructure at the Shoalwater Bay Training Area, 80 kilometres north of Rockhampton.
About the role
We are currently seeking Commercial staff - Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors to join our team in Rockhampton, QLD. These permanent roles offer great career prospects with a privately owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise. These are residential roles with interstate relocation offered.
As a Commercial Professional, you will optimise margin whilst mitigating commercial risk, on a project. This will involve preparing and submitting interim progress claims, managing submissions and agreement of variations, processing contractual claims, advising on contractual issues and initiating correspondence, whilst at all times adhering to Laing O’Rourke’s safety policies & procedures.
You will have a relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Law or Engineering, and a delivery focus. We are seeking experience working on complex building or civil projects with top-tier contractors. Experience in delivering defence projects and with managing contractor models would be beneficial.
