Downer ME&I Mining has a fantastic opportunity available for an experienced Regional High Risk Trainer & Assessor to join our highly successful team located Perth. This role will require the successful person to travel to site as required.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful you will have:

  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment;
  • Hold Worksafe Assessor Accreditation and High Risk Work Licences;
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety and legislative requirements;
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Strong planning, organisational and time management abilities;
  • High level of attention to detail; and
  • Highly proficient in using the Microsoft Suite.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBLITIES WILL INCLUDE

  • Deliver training packages for all high risk work area across all Western Region sites;
  • Provide technical support to others as required;
  • Develop and Deliver training packages for all high risk work area across all Western Region sites;
  • Provide technical support to others as required;
  • Develop all required documentation, procedures and inspections required for training workshops and training rooms;
  • Maintain up to date skills matrix and register for all training personnel;
  • Prepare training status reports;
  • Develop and maintain a culture focused on delivering “best practice” maintenance and safety outcomes; and
  • Identify areas with potential for improvement through training and development.
