Come and be a part of this success.Poitrel Mine Site is seeking a Superintendent Production to join the Mining Production Department. In this role you will support the site to ensure direction and planned targets are met with regards to safety, volume and cost.

In this unique role you will work across truck and shovel, prestrip/overburden and coal mining teams right through to the coal handling prep plant feed. Successful contributing and influencing the week 0, week 1 plus and up to 12 week plan being executed. You will be responsible for developing a high performance culture that encourages 'stepping up' and allows people to focus on what matters. The roster on offer is an attractive 8/6 day shift only.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will also be responsible for the following:

  • Ensure all mining activity are conducted safely and productivity by maintaining standards in accordance with site specific and statutory requirements and applying continuous improvement methods;
  • Ensure all mining contracts comply with scope of works and directly manage cost, productivity and quality of work standards;
  • Manage and mentor direct reports through continual evaluation, identifying development needs and setting performance expectations;
  • Manage performance of individuals and teams to achieve desired outcomes;
  • Ensure production objectives are achievable by evaluating assumptions, designs, plans and schedules; and
  • Contribute to short and medium term operational planning to ensure future operation are robust.

Experienced working within complex, rapidly changing organisations and environments you will be an effective problem solver and compelling influencer, able to clearly communicate business benefits with delivery of safe productive outcomes front of mind. While relevant qualifications in Mining Engineering are well regarded, more importantly you will bring a strategically agile, outcomes focused approach with the ability to work with velocity and navigate delivery challenges with a continuous improvement mindset. Your attributes are premised by an energy that supports safe and sustainable outcomes.
