The Opportunity: We have a fantastic opportunity for a positive and proactive Operations Manager to join our Shopping Centre in Deepwater. Dexus has a strong retail team that proactively manages sub-regional shopping centres on behalf of Dexus Wholesale Property Fund. The Retail Team provides shopping centre management, transactions, development management and leasing to our Third-Party Funds management business.

The Role: You will join our supportive and proactive centre management team at Deepwater and be tasked with maintaining relationships with the centre retailers along with your colleagues and stakeholders to ensure the centre is maintained to a high standard of working order. You will also liaise with contractors and tradesmen to ensure the maintenance of our valued asset is delivered to the highest level and in a manner, which is safe and orderly. You will be accountable for the provision of maintenance and cleaning duties including painting, tiling and pluming as well as assisting in the coordination of tenancy fit out procedures, operational expenditure budgets and capital expenditure. On top of this you will also be an active participant in emergency and first aid response.

The Potential: We are looking for a proactive, hands on candidate, who like the rest of the team truly cares about the Asset and of course is diligent in ensuring customer and tenant safety at all times. Ideally you have proven experience working in a similar role, for a commercial building or shopping centre and have technical qualifications (preferably Electrical or Mechanical). As a key part of this role is customer facing, you will have strong customer service and stakeholder management skills and have the ability to juggle competing priorities in a calm and collected manner. Knowledge of the Workplace Health and Safety Act and Regulations and the Retail Shop Leases Act is advantageous but not essential. You will be relatively tech savvy and able to use programs such as Excel with ease. Above all we are looking for someone who can think on their feet and ensure the asset is continuously in good working order whilst ensuring the highest level of safety and customer service is upheld.
