The Opportunity: We have a fantastic opportunity for a self-sufficient and proactive candidate, focused on building strong relationships working as the Centre Manager for our newly developed shopping centre, Gateway Sydney located at Circular Quay. Dexus has a strong retail team that proactively manages a quality mix of sub regional, regional shopping centres and city retail precincts on behalf of Dexus Wholesale Property Fund and Australian mandate with further investments in seven Westfield shopping centres. The Retail Team provides shopping centre management, transactions, development management and leasing to our Third-Party Funds management business.
The Role: Success in this role will be working closely with the restaurateurs and food and beverage retails to ensure you are driving centre performance through marketing, managing any capital works, ensuring the centre is maximising its return maintaining a high presentation standard along with strong operational efficiency. This role will lead all centre operations on a day to day basis to ensure customer needs are met whilst developing & managing all key stakeholder relationships. Of course, this is a prime CBD asset with passionate retailers therefore we are looking for someone equally as passionate for city retail and an understanding of the importance of marketing. You will work closely with our marketing manager to ensuring city goers are consistently being drawn to the dining precincts and the centres are seen as a place to be during event seasons. This opportunity will also see you preparing annual budgets of income and expenditure as well as reviewing all operating expenses and preparing detailed quarterly reports.
The Potential: Success in this role will be for an individual with a true passion for building strong stakeholder relationship, Shopping Centre Management and the Customer. We are ideally looking for someone with experience working as a retail or centre manager who is very comfortable managing a busy, food and beverage centre. Ideally the new addition to our shopping centre management team will be comfortable managing centre financials and jumping full throttle into a fast-paced environment where every day is different. The centre is looking for a manager with strong business acumen, a solution focused mindset along with a strong collaborator.
