Reporting to the Manger Production Coal, you will be responsible for managing a team of production and process engineering employees to meet expectations for sustainability, cost, production, and workplace culture. This role is responsible for the ongoing operation and improvement of two coal processing plants at the mine, working an even time roster with a counterpart on a 7/7 roster.

Being an enthusiastic person with a desire to achieve you'll be self-motivated to maintain an efficient reliable plant operation while always striving for continuous improvement. Your collaborative approach working within a multi-disciplined team will only enhance a drive to succeed.

The Successful applicant will be required to demonstrate:

  • A

proven record of commitment to Zero Harm principals;

  • The

ability to identify and implement best practice in processing performance,

product quality, and efficient preparation plant operation;

  • Sound

contract management practices and ability to work with service

providers to ensure compliance with contractor management requirements;

  • Develop

and manage operating and capital budgets;

  • Engage,

develop, and lead change for a workforce of approx. 60 persons;

  • Managing

improvement projects by providing leadership, direction and input;

  • Responsibility

for managing a direct line comprising supervisors and engineers; and

  • Excellent

capability to adapt and thrive in a technology

driven workplace.

To be successful in this position you will have a high level of oral and written communication skills, demonstrated by your ability to collaborate with and influence people within the workplace. You will also be a goal oriented person with exceptional leadership capability to support and lead a large production team. Having previous experience in production, processing, or industry would be highly beneficial, and while not essential, evidence of applying your development and capability in the form of tertiary qualifications would be advantageous.
