Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) is responsible for managing the Group’s relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors, and provides a full range of capital raising, transactional and risk management products and services.

Your Team:

Marketsis a department of IB&M and is responsible for all of the Group’s activities in interest rate, bond, foreign exchange, credit, debt and commodity trading. This covers both physical and derivative markets; and Operational support function for Global Markets as well as other IB&M Departments.

Global Commodities and Trade (GCT) are accountable for the delivery of Commodities and Trade Finance Products, liquidity and risk management and our Sales teams support both Business & Private Bank and Institutional Banking & Markets clients in Australia and offshore.

Your impact & contribution:

The Associate Director role will be responsible for supporting the origination efforts of the Trade Sales team, bringing on new to bank Trade Finance & Supply Chain business across the Institutional Banking and Specialised Agribusiness Solutions markets. This will involve the identification of opportunities across these markets, creation of sales pitch documents, analysis of key markets and corporates leading to opportunities to build the pipeline. The objective of this business generation will be to grow the number of clients who rate the Commonwealth Bank as their lead GCT bank, and more broadly, grow the Bank’s market share within its represented segments.

Your responsibilities:

You will contribute to growing the market share of each client and product segment in line with the overall GCT strategy and in co-ordination with senior GCT leadership. In this role you will;
