BHP is establishing Operations Services – a new team of employees who will provide production and maintenance services that have previously been performed by external contractors. This newly created role has been developed to maximise our already strong process of Standardised Work within our Mining Operations. This role will see you identify and coordinate continual improvement initiatives with the opportunity to add real value in safety and productivity to our Production crews.
You will support our frontline and our leaders to develop and sustain new ways of working, as well as build their problem solving capability. Utilising innovative approaches, tools and technology – you will play a key role in setting new standards to guide improvement and optimisation activities in order to, elevate and support our people.
You will ideally be able to demonstrate:
- The ability to effectively identify ways to eliminate hazards, waste and variability
- Strong problem solving skills with a collaborative approach to finding practical solutions
- Strong stakeholder management with an ability to influence outcomes
- Experience in leading and/or coaching teams on site - ideally
- An Engineering (Mining) degree will be highly desirable
