About Our Site
Garden Island is the headquarters for our Maritime business along with being a major fleet base for the Royal Australian Navy. This unique waterside located in Sydney’s inner eastern suburbs is easily accessible by public transport, with onsite parking and canteens this is an exciting place to work that is steeped in history. Our Garden Island team provide repair, maintenance and in-service support for a variety of commercial and Naval platforms. With much of the work being conducted in the Southern Hemisphere’s largest dry dock, Thales are also contracted to provide docking, reticulated services and facility maintenance across the site.
The Thales Australia Maritime business offers ship repair services, maintenance and asset management / in-service support capabilities for commercial and naval ships in Australia. We are seeking a Site Access Coordinator to join our team to assist in managing the security and site access requirements for our Thales Garden Island site.
Assisting to coordinate security clearances for Thales employees
Assisting with the coordination of issuing Thales photo ID passes
Assisting with the management of security and access arrangements for any VIP visits to our Thales Garden Islands site
Critical is the ability to obtain an Australian defence security clearance for this position
This is a role where you have strong administration and computer skills particularly as regular data entry of information will be required
Good organisational skills and exceptional communication skills as you will be in contact with a variety of people every day at all levels of our organisation
Exceptional attention to detail is also essential for this role
We are happy to train the successful person up in this role but any previous experience in the security or facilities environment would be highly regarded
Police and medical checks will be required for this role.
