Are you a Midwife that is keen to return to practice in a friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary team? We are a modern, well equipped service, providing care for women across the spectrum of maternity care. We welcome applications from both RM and RN/RM who would like the opportunity to complete a refresher program. We are a fast paced environment providing care to nearly 4,000 moderate to low risk women each year. We are proud that many of our Midwives choose to birth their own babies here!

  • Maternity Services at Werribee Mercy Hospital
  • Fixed Term contract, option for full time or part time (minimum 0.8 EFT)
  • 6 - 12 month supported education program individualised to your learning needs
  • Paid employment model
  • Potential for ongoing employment
  • Successful applicants will be required to work across all rostered shifts (including night duty)

  • Clinical support provided by Educators and Clinical Support Midwives

  • Registered Midwife with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • We can support you if you have provisonal registration and / or conditions for supervised practice programs
  • Minimum 1 year previous experience as a Midwife within the past 5 years
  • Time management, organisational skills and a team player
  • Flexibility to work all shifts including night duty

Please note this program is not suitable for newly qualified Midwives
