About the role
Laing O'Rourke is recruiting for an Environmental Coordinator to join our Novo Rail Alliance team based in West Ryde.
The Novo Rail Alliance delivers Rail Infrastructure projects in the Sydney and surrounding areas extending to Newcastle, Lithgow and Wollongong. The Alliance members include: Transport for NSW, Aurecon, Laing O’Rourke and RCR. The programme Alliance commenced just over 9 years ago and has delivered over $1.3 BN worth of infrastructure projects as a delivery partner for Transport for NSW.
You will be responsible for promoting compliance and excellence in project environmental matters, delivery of environmental programmes and initiatives on the project, provide advice to supervisors, inspectors, project management team, employees and other personnel on the project.
You will also review completed environmental records to ensure they verify compliance with specified requirements, ensure waste is minimised on site, monitoring of ground and drinking water and onsite testing.
You will have
Relevant tertiary qualification, a Bachelor of Environmental Science or other related fields preferably with some experience on civil/rail projects in Australia.
