You will be responsible for the delivery of 24 million tonne ROM annually contributing to 19 million tonne of saleable product a year. Located in the lifestyle friendly Hunter Valley region working a 8 days on / 6 days off roster and being supported by experienced peers, this opportunity is well suited to someone who is looking to develop in a people leadership role.
Reporting to the Manager Coal Mining and having a team of Coal Mining Supervisors as the direct reports, the whole team comprises of a workforce of approx. 100 personnel, representing a great career opportunity to develop a performance culture and deliver on results. Previous experience in leading performance, results through influence, building a positive workplace culture and working in an open cut environment will see you well placed for success.Your ability to communicate, engage and build trust with your team members, be a champion for change will help you deliver on your commitments and will position you well for future career opportunities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are a must allowing you to build relationships across the team and departments and to communicate with disciplines at all levels.
You will also have proven engagement and influencing skills and you will be a people focused and collaborative leader. You will use your abilities to manage your team and the plan on a daily basis. As the successful applicant, you will also:
