Come and be a part of this success.Reporting to the Superintendent Mine Planning, as a Specialist Mine Planning your role will involve design and scheduling in the short term (0 to 12 week) planning horizon for our Caval Ridge Mine.
You will use your already developed mine planning skills and experience in this dynamic and challenging short-term mine planning role. The role will see you develop effective working relationships within the mine planning team, operational and medium-term planning teams, in order to ensure the efficient execution of your plans and schedules. You will work with operations to produce and execute mine plans in addition to identifying and implementing mine planning improvement initiatives.As a successful candidate, you will possess a tertiary education in Mining Engineering or similar with previous experience working at an Open Cut Coal Mining operation. You will have:
- 5+ years’ design experience in at least 3 of the following
disciplines: Dragline, Dozer Push, Pre-strip, Drill and Blast, Coal Mining
- Dragline experience is essential
- Proficiency with a range of design softwares (such as Vulcan,
Deswik, BlastLogic) mine scheduling softwares (such as Spry, XACT, XPAC)
and haulage modelling
- Strong MS Office skills;
Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will allow you to implement mine planning improvement initiatives, build trusted relationships across departments and communicate effectively with disciplines at all levels. Location
