Join our new South Flank Project **The South Flank Project is an expansion of BHP's existing Mining Area C hub, located approximately 130 km by road north-west of the town of Newman. This project has potential to become one of the largest standalone iron ore processing centres in the world, within reach of several billion tonnes of high-grade ore.

This is a rare opportunity for a dynamic individual to be part of something big – to work in an innovative team, with evolving technology, and playing a pivotal role in creating a world class mine.Reporting to the Superintendent Mobile Equipment Maintenance, you will be accountable for the supervision of the workgroup team to ensure the planned performance and integrity of the assigned fleet at the lowest practical cost.
You will lead, coach and mentor employees, ensure a safe system of work is in place for each activity, contribute to continuous improvement, reliability and quality maintenance and develop, communicate and execute the Mobile Equipment Maintenance work plan.
As a Section 44 Appointed Person, you are required to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act and Mines Safety Inspection Regulations.

You will have significant experience with the operation and maintenance of heavy mining equipment; including Hitachi, Liebherr and Atlas Copco. A strength of yours will be your ability to communicate efficiently, ensuring the development of staff through your influencing and relationship management skills. You will be a proactive, credible and influential member of the leadership team whilst building strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
You will possess an Engineering qualification at trade, diploma or degree level and hold a current full "C" class manual driver’s license. A Diploma in Frontline Management well regarded.
