Join our new South Flank ProjectThe South Flank Project is an expansion of BHP's existing Mining Area C hub, located approximately 130 km by road north-west of the town of Newman. This project has potential to become one of the largest standalone iron ore processing centres in the world, within reach of several billion tonnes of high-grade ore.

This is a rare opportunity for a dynamic individual to be part of something big – to work in an innovative team, with evolving technology, and playing a pivotal role in creating a world class mine.This exciting role on the South Flank Project will help co-ordinate the execution of the mine schedule and ensure mining activities are conducted in accordance with all relevant statutory obligations. Your key focus will be to provide clear plans and instructions around production & development tasks to achieve daily and weekly Key Performance Indicators.
Support will also need to be provided to the planning group and maximize compliance with short term production plans and schedules. You will also monitor and report against the Mine Planning work plan and report any significant deviation from the weekly plans to the Superintendent Mine Scheduling & Performance.
You will achieve success by utilising your strong scheduling capabilities, accompanied with your sound understanding of open pit mining operations. As a highly motivated team player, you will demonstrate sound interpersonal skills and have a keen eye for detail.
Qualifications in Mining, Survey, Geology or similar will be highly regarded. Experience with software packages such as Blazor, Vulcan, Fleet Management Systems and Excel will be required.

This is a fly in fly out (FIFO) opportunity working on a 5 on, 2 off 4 on, 3 off roster initially and will then move onto an 8:6 roster. However, those in pursuit of flexible work arrangements are encouraged to apply.
