Working on a 24x7 roster, the Security Analyst is responsible for incident detection, analysis, investigation, and response. It is the Managed Security Operations Centre primary responsibility to ensure that security events and incidents are detected and escalated in a timely manner and within SLA. The Security Operative will be the focal point for managed security reporting and security issues. The Security Operative will be responsible for analysis and investigation to determine if alerts or security events warrant incident escalation.
If an event is classified as an escalation by Security Analyst will be responsible for tracking the escalation through final resolution. Security Operative Staff will perform event triage to include determining scope, urgency, and potential impact, and they will identify specific vulnerabilities and make recommendations to allow for expeditious remediation.
As the Security Analyst based in Melbourne or Sydneyyou will be reporting to Frank Trianta - SOC Operations Manager APAC.
To be successful in this role you will have:
•Higher School Certificate (or equivalent)
•Experience in Service Desk Operations
•Experience in working in an IT operations or security operations role (ideally a minimum of 2 years).
•Understanding of SIEM technologies
•ITIL V3 Foundations
•Industry recognised network or security qualification (CISSP, GSEC, CCNA, or other related certification)
