The Business Unit
Our Risk Management business is responsible for developing and deploying the risk frameworks to allow the Group to take conscious exposures to credit, market, operational, compliance and insurance risks within a Board-approved appetite. We ensure the Group has appropriate strategies and frameworks in place to assess, manage and report on credit, market, operational, compliance and insurance risks.
Operational Risk and Compliance functions form part of the Group Risk Management function. Group Compliance and its business partners aim to significantly reduce or remove the potential for the Group and its staff being exposed to harm arising out of compliance breaches.
Operational Risk helps protect the Bank from harm arising from the risk of loss resulting from inadequate or failed internal processes, people and systems or from external events. It includes legal; regulatory; fraud; business continuity and technology risks but excludes strategic and reputational risks.
A newly created role, the Executive Manager Compliance Framework & Group Privacywill operate in a leadership capacity and will provide an amazing opportunity for an individual who is looking to make a difference in building trust and upholding the rights of data subjects.
We are looking for an inclusive and effective leader who will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of privacy within the Group, driving the implementation and governance of an organisation-wide privacy program and ensuring compliance with global privacy regulations. In doing so, you will represent our Group’s customers and be an advocate of their Privacy Rights.
Reporting through to the General Manager of the Group privacy Office, this role will collaborate with a number of Compliance Heads, Privacy Officers and Champions.
You will partner closely with each of the Compliance teams supporting each Business Unit across the Group as well as the group and business aligned operational risk teams.
