Extensive experience running a 3000+ seat IT operations / service desk enterprise over a globally geographically environment Experience in managing Operational IT budgets of ~$10M NZD Managing Operational Teams of more than 30+ Staff Demonstrated experience in creating Operational metric reporting & insights Demonstrated experience in defining roadmaps and long term planning Demonstrated experience in creating reporting for the Exec management level Knowledge in Okta, Google, Microsoft, Ticketing Systems ie: Zendesk Proven experience collaborating and building trust and effective working relationships, with stakeholders across all levels of the business Excellent engagement, interpersonal, negotiation, influencing and management skills Able to lead, build and motivate people and teams to deliver an amazing service Authentic leadership, with a diplomatic, open and effective communication style The ability to think and act quickly, often based on incomplete data Passion for helping people fulfill their potential Builds effective relationships across all levels of the business Ownership and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Optimistic and organized, able to pivot quickly based on shifting priorities Collaborative, growth and innovation mindset

IT Operations is an integral part of the Enterprise Technology team here at Xero. You’ll make an impact by leading our geographically dispersed IT Support team, whose responsibility it is to provide technical support for all Xeros Core IT services. This will involve ensuring the team is working in a consistent and efficient manner. Working closely with other other areas in the People Systems Team to design, implement and support the IT needs of Xero.
This role is fundamental to the success of the People Systems Team, as it helps provide the services that ensure the smooth day to day operations across Xero, so that it can continue to scale at world class rates.
You will work closely with various business stakeholders to continually enhance the business value delivered by the IT Support Team, and bring industry and technology thought leadership to challenge and innovate how we do things. You’ll also own and drive the operational efficiencies within support globally.
