Come help make AWS the world’s most diverse cloud computing leader! We are seeking a Sr. Diversity Programs Leader to help us build, develop, and execute diversity recruiting programs and strategies across Asia and the Pacific (APJC). In this role, you will drive programs within a large, matrixed, business organization that spans tens of countries and many different cultures. You will be responsible for translating global vision and initiatives into regional requirements, driving implementation across the region in partnership with Talent Acquisition, Diversity Recruiting, HR, and business leaders. You will assess risks, look around corners, make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs to drive results. You will report on the outcomes of all our work and strive to provide transparency and accountability across the organization for all of these initiatives.

The successful candidate will propose and execute regional diversity programs that help AWS attract, select, and hire diverse talent at scale. You will be a part of a global Diversity Recruiting Programs team that is passionate about changing lives, exceeding goals, and having fun while doing it. To be successful in this role, you must have experience driving meaningful action, be data- and detail-oriented, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. You will be asked to operate independently in an ambiguous environment and must have a demonstrated track record of managing multiple concurrent projects and driving them to completion. Because the person in this role will influence cross-functional stakeholders at all levels, they will also need to be highly collaborative and able to influence without authority while also being able to work with significant autonomy.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner closely with TA leaders, Program Managers, HR Leaders, Legal and Compliance, Business Leaders, Recruiting Managers and Recruiters to help build and execute our Diversity strategies and initiatives.
  • Partner with APJC cross functional partners (Analytics, Branding, TA PMs, HR) to drive alignment and execution of priorities in the region
  • Gather and analyze metrics and progress against goals
  • Drive prioritization and delivery of region-specific market intelligence and learning strategies that enables recruiting teams to source and engage with diverse talent
  • Create long term strategies to engage with diverse talent communities in the region
  • Identify events and organizations in the region to establish Amazon as Employer of Choice for diverse talent
  • Earn trust across a range of partners and customers to establish yourself as a trusted SME
  • Track progress, measure success, report out on learnings and results.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of experience in a project/program management or related role
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects with demonstrated expertise in leading without authority to achieve results
  • Experience working in a global role with stakeholders from multiple regions
  • Experience leading process optimization transformation, leveraging process mapping tools and systems

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or Master's Degree
  • Successful record of building, improving and running operational business processes globally, ability to drive program effectiveness and high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrated program ownership and consistent delivery on commitments - great organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail
  • Well-honed analytical skills, comfortable working with data and developing insights from it, experience establishing and tracking program metrics, and experience with experimental design
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills - ability to interface with all levels of the organization, specific strength in influencing decision makers and managing expectations
• Experience identifying and resolving complex issues, and assuming leadership roles in unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances - solid sense of accountability and sound personal judgment
