Senior Systems Engineer - Data Center, Infrastructure & Cloud

The Endeavour Group will be amongst the largest organisations in Australia after its proposed separation from the Woolworths Group. We have an exciting opportunity ahead of us as we work together to stand up as the market-leading drinks and hospitality business in Australia.

This pivotal role will provide support services to Endeavour Group Stores, Venues, Manufacturing & Distribution Sites, Wineries and Corporate offices through effective management of our infrastructure across our Data Centres and our Cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for our data centre services, systems and infrastructure are measured and operate efficiently and effectively to deliver sustainable, resilient and secure performance and availability to meet current demands and changing needs.

  • Provide technical expertise and support for projects and provisioning requests.

  • Manage third parties to achieve the desired outcomes.

  • Safeguard business data and information against accidental or unauthorised access, modification, destruction or disclosure.

  • Perform aspects of implementation, support and improvement of relevant infrastructure, and continuous improvement.

  • Provide in depth technical expertise and advice.

  • Prepare and maintain documentation (procedures, technical documentation and process diagrams associated with IT Infrastructure).

  • Ensure that the data centre is maintained and operational 24/7 by providing daily audits and reporting about the performance level of services

  • Provide data centre remote hand support services when required

  • Provide data centre engineering support for all remote sites (travel if required to remote sites nationally) Mentor, coach, train and guide other colleagues to deliver quality data centre service

  • Provide operational service excellence and automation opportunities across our cloud and on-premise infrastructure.

  • Work with your peers to identify way to automate and optimise technology processes for Endeavour Group

  • Day to day responsibility to work with Cloud peers to manage cloud environments, manage associated incidents, requests, changes and risk management

  • Manage third parties to achieve the desired outcomes.

  • Safeguard business data and information against accidental or unauthorised access, modification, destruction or disclosure

What You'll Need To Succeed

  • Very Strong in Virtualization architectures VMWare, AIX, Azure, ADFS, Windows OS Patch management and upgrades

  • Strong experience with storage systems and SAN networks with multi-site replication, iScsi and SAN Switching highly desire

  • Ability to work with both Unix and Windows environment

  • Monitoring network performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with third party consultants on network architecture

  • Solid understanding of routing protocol operation, configuration, and troubleshooting

  • Solid understanding of network protocols, TCPIP, DNS, DHCP, VLANS

  • Solid understanding of security compliance including securing network systems by establishing and enforcing policies

  • Domain management including MX records, renewals etc

  • Advanced knowledge in systems infrastructure, networking, monitoring, and supporting tools

  • Escalation and resolution of level 3 support issues

  • Maintain Backup strategy and resolve issues

  • Maintaining DR site

  • Designing and implementation of new solutions and improving the current environment

  • Project Management

Nice to have

  • AWS, Azure and/or GCP migration experience.

  • Data center consolidation experience
