Job Description:

We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic RF Engineers who would like to join our team in this specialised industry.


  • Be involved in the design, development and prototyping of RF & Microwave components and subsystems such as gain blocks, frequency converters and filters.
  • Have ability to undertake RF line-up budget calculations
  • Modelling and simulation of RF & Microwave circuits using software packages, such as MWO and 3D tools such as CST.
  • Ability to document designs for customer design reviews and to enable efficient manufacture of products.
  • Operate RF Test Equipment such as VNAs, Spectrum Analysers, Synthesizers, Power Meters and Noise Figure Measurements
  • Work as part of an integrated team to deliver high quality microwave assemblies and systems
  • Support AS9100 quality management system

You will be willing to take on a wide variety of complex technical challenges and have a strong commitment to developing a quality solution, to meet financial and time constraints. You will adhere to all processes that form part of the extensive Quality Management System.


  • Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
  • Familiar with RF modelling and simulation software packages such as Microwave Office for RF line-up budget calculations, modelling and simulation of RF & microwave circuits.
  • Familiar or experience with software, such as CST or equivalent, for modelling 3D electromagnetic structures.
  • Filter synthesis, design and prototyping
  • Antenna synthesis, design and prototyping
  • Microwave photonics experience
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to internal and external parties.
  • Accuracy, thoroughness, persistence and attention to detail.
  • Familiar with a production environment.

Security Requirements:

Candidates will be required to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance as a condition of their employment.

Candidates will only be considered for a position at L3 Harris Technologies if they are eligible to hold a security clearance.

A NEGATIVE VETTING LEVEL ONE (NV1) security clearance is required for this position. Candidates must be an Australian citizen and have a checkable background of at least 10 years. A current NV1 security clearance is highly desirable.
