This is a critical customer-facing role delivering pre-sales engineering skills to support the sale and adoption of nbn Business Satellite Services (BSS) products by Retail Service Providers, and supporting the development of End Customer solutions based on BSS products.
The role will require deep domain Satellite knowledge and experience across major satellite technologies and platforms. In addition to strong satellite engineering skills to support product development, the role requires presales architecture experience and the ability to lead engagement up to and including executive level within large complex corporates to design customer solutions aligned to the end customer's business requirements based on nbn BSS products.

A bit about your role
Within this role, you will lead the technical sales engagement for Retail service providers GTM product development for nbn BSS solutions. You will work across Retail service providers and nbn to proactively identify and overcome technical & operational roadblocks inhibiting Retail service providers from adopting nbn BSS products within their solutions. You will act as technical SME for the Voice of the Customer (VOC) into BSS product development to ensure nbn’s BSS portfolio product roadmap is aligned with End Customer and RSP needs. To achieve these outcomes, you will have the ability to develop & foster relationships with a wide variety of technical stakeholders, within Retail service providers and End Customers, both at the strategic and operational levels.
You will have prime accountability within nbn to support the nbn sales channels and RSP sales channels to engage with end customers and support the design of solutions based on BSS products to support the end customer's business needs.
A bit about you
You will hold a tertiary level technical degree and at least 10 years of experience in the satellite sector across multiple satellite platforms and technologies.
Significant technical sales / pre-sales and product development experience in a large telco in a business-oriented role, preferably in Satellite Services and ideally in a wholesale environment.
Ability to work collaboratively in a large matrix organisation. Influence and align cross-functional teams to drive towards key account objectives.
Ability to understand and influence customer expectations and deliver to them, including in a pre-sales environment.
Highly developed communication skills, specifically influencing, negotiation and conflict resolution. Ability to adapt style and persuade a wide range of stakeholders up to and including C Level.
Experience managing stakeholders in a project environment to meet and track milestones in a project schedule while demonstrating the ability to apply highly developed influencing and negotiation skills along with conflict resolution to lead virtual teams.
Solid customer service skills with the ability to exceed service satisfaction standards.
Exceptional stakeholder management across all levels of a technical and business environment.
