A bit about your role

The Procurement function is a trusted business advisor that enables nbn to secure externally sourced goods and services that provide sustainable value. Accordingly, the Procurement function needs a strong customer focus, a demonstrated strength in contract management, and a drive to deliver commercial and sustainable value.

The Network Technology Procurement Team is responsible for planning, sourcing, contracting and governance of suppliers and contracts for network equipment and equipment-related services required to build and operate nbn’s networks.

The Senior Contract Manager role primarily is responsible for delivering sustainable procurement value through managing strategic contracts, providing detailed and commercially astute analysis, leading and influencing senior management stakeholders and supporting the achievement of the Network Technology team objectives.

Actively manage significant and more complex/non-standard technology related contracts through all aspects of the contract lifecycle. In addition to this, you will be managing the supplier base to best meet the emerging business needs and evolving procurement objectives, provide financial and commercial analysis and reporting along with managing day-to-day contractual risks across a myriad of contracts engagements models.

A bit about you

The ideal person will bring experience across multiple high value, complexity categories, contracts with major suppliers with the ability to be highly self-managed in prioritising and delivering required outcomes. Experience in telecommunications network technology would be well regarded.

Displaying a comprehensive understanding of the business partners strategy and requirements by providing best in class business partnership engagement and procurement thought leadership, driving continuous improvement into contracts under management.

Ideally you will be staying abreast of best-in-class procurement practices and industry networks, building the procurement brand across the business and developing a trusted advisor profile and pro-actively leading and solving complex problems both within and outside of your specific domain.
