The Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) Sales Strategy team is looking for a highly skilled Principal, Strategy to work with a set of cross-functional stakeholders in solving business problems for the APJ Commercial Sales organization. The individual will collaborate across Sales, Operations, Partner, and other teams to analyze business problems, build localized strategy and execute against program plans. This is a hands-on position; the ideal candidate must be willing to “roll up the sleeves”.


The candidate must be able to create simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, have excellent project-management skills, and be able to communicate complex analytical results in a concise and easy-to-understand manner.
The ideal candidate earns trust through performance and relationship building, thinks strategically and analytically about business challenges and has experience in program management or planning for a Sales organization. The candidate will be a self-starter with a bias towards independent problem solving, a passion for identifying and eliminating bottlenecks, and has the foresight to anticipate business needs, make tradeoffs, and balance business dynamics despite constraints. The APJ Principal, Sales Strategy will thrive in a fast-paced environment, will be able to manage through ambiguity and complexity, and constantly seek ways to invent and simplify business processes. Maturity, strong judgment, and the ability to influence are all essential to success in this role. The candidate will manage strategy and operations v-teams, create recommendations to drive decision making by senior leaders, propose innovative planning solutions and identify process inefficiencies and come up with creative solutions to solve.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 12+ years’ experience in strategy, finance or sales in a mid-to-large scale hi-tech company.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations.
  • Demonstrated strong communications skills and ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to define, refine and implement sales processes, procedures and policies; and cross functional collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
  • Proficiency with annual forecasting and planning and related 3rd party tools.
  • Deep expertise and familiarity with cloud product and services, and sales cycles.
• Experience within a high-growth, technology company would be highly beneficial.
