We are looking for our next Lower North Island Learning Coordinator extraordinaire based in Wellington. It’s a role you make your own with the option of working full time or part time (30 – 40 hours) you’ll be providing high quality support and coordination to front-line managers, the HR team and the Zero Harm team, driving learning and career development for all.
As part of Transport Services business, which is a market leader, shaping and influencing the future of New Zealand’s infrastructure. Incorporating more than 2,500 employees, this business covers a diverse range of services including operations and maintenance of road, rail, port and airport infrastructure, material production and manufacturing, technical services, leading research and development facilities and a large asset base including fixed and mobile assets.
You’ll take ownership of and champion the new Learning Management System by maintaining information in the system, creating robust processes, gathering historical data, reporting as requested and helping to maintain the level of competency of employees.
Working with stakeholders within your region and the L&D team, you will arrange for necessary training to be carried out by providers for skill enhancement and effectively manage relationships with these providers. You will also assist with programmes coordination.
This role is fast paced and busy, and you’ll need to bring all your organisational and time management skills to the fore. You’ll couple this with your excellent written and oral communication skills as well as your proven track record in administration /project coordination roles.
It goes without saying that you’ll need to be tech savvy and know your way around MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook and ideally you’ll also have experience managing databases.

- Previous experience working with a Learning Management System
- Strong working knowledge of learning/training within an organisation
- Self-managing, can work independently and take the initiative
- Ability to build effective relationships at all levels
- A flexible, adaptable approach to your work
- Full Class 1 driver's licence
