A newly created opportunity has become available for a Power BI Specialist to join our IT Architecture team on a permanent basis.
In this exclusive role, you will support, maintain and assist with development of QSuper's data products, such as standard management reporting; balanced scorecard reporting for the Group; supporting the SDLC of reports and dashboards; and supporting and advising developers of semantic layer data models and managing changes to data products through a defined SDLC.
Utilising your existing knowledge or usage of various BI products gained in a similar role, this role will see you support and complete analysis on existing reporting capabilities to identify opportunities to migrate products to PowerBI reporting platforms. You'll also ensure the effective implementation of systems and methodologies to monitor and report on the performance of the data flows, integrations, reports and auditing of report usage. Skills, Experience and Qualifications
The ideal Power BI Specialist will demonstrate some, or most of the below:
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and process development/improvement skills
- Proven skills in the Power Query transformation engine and the associated "M" language
- Strong DAX expertise
- Skilled in querying, creation of new views, tables in Azure SQL Server
- Experience of understanding and managing PowerBI.com workspaces
- Extensive knowledge of report design/ data visualisation best practices
- Deployment experience via Microsoft DevOps
- Designing and developing SQL Server Analysis Services semantic models to support reporting, dashboarding and self-service analysis by end-users.
- Knowledge or usage of various BI products including, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks, MS SQL Server, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI, Visual Studio, Python or R.
