This opportunity will see you responsible for managing all commercial, contractual and financial aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with and obligations and objectives are met at a project and organisational level.

The Project\:

The purpose of the TasWater Capital Delivery Office (CDO) is to build the capability and capacity of TasWater to fulfil its customer promises for improved service levels by efficiently and effectively delivering an accelerated capital program of works.

  • Your Opportunity\:

Your Accountabilities\:

  • Managing both the Commercial and Finance functions and a large team from different home employers
  • Ensuring robust program reporting occurs across all functions
  • Owning and taking accountability for a Key Senior Leadership role in the Alliance Program Management Team (APMT)
  • Ensuring the alliance ‘One Team’ and ‘Best for Program Culture’ fit is applied to all work outcomes
  • Deliver outcomes within a complex work environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Manage challenging work and lift the commercial maturity of local industry
  • Minimum Requirements\:
  • Degree or Diploma in Business, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent
  • Minimum eight years’ experience in Contract Administration with Tier 1 or 2 company experience
  • Understanding of construction principals and legal arguments
  • Demonstrated experience in the negotiation and management of commercial contracts that achieve service delivery outcomes
  • Understanding of construction principals and legal arguments
  • Sound knowledge and practical experience in the application of commercial and contract law
  • This role is based in Hobart, Tasmania. For those outside of Tasmania, relocation is required.
