Transport for NSW is the lead agency of the NSW Transport cluster. Our role is to lead the development of a safe, efficient, integrated transport system that keeps people and goods moving, connects communities and shapes the future of our cities, centres and regions.
We are responsible for strategy, planning, policy, regulation, funding allocation and other non-service delivery functions for all modes of transport in NSW including road, rail, ferry, light rail, point to point, regional air, cycling and walking.
We focus on improving the customer experience and contract public and private operators to deliver customer-focused transport services on our behalf.
We also lead the procurement of transport infrastructure and oversee delivery through project delivery offices and industry delivery partners.

About the team
The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division engages with our customers and communities. We connect regional NSW with safe and tailored transport choices, and contribute to strong economic growth and sustainability across the state.
This newly created role is responsible for leading the effective and efficient management of the Country Regional Network (CRN) property portfolio including the relationships with the CRN Contractor, other Branches and Divisions within TfNSW, agencies and stakeholders.
Reporting to the Director Regional Property & Asset Renewal, you will lead and manage the property interface between the CRN Contractor, Asset Trustees, TAHE, Network & Assets branches and other TfNSW divisions to facilitate the delivery effective property services on the CRN which include a portfolio of commercial, residential, retail and community agreements.
You will undertake effective planning, high level risk analysis and risk assessment relating to the provision of access/land required for permanent infrastructure and facilities throughout the CRN and manage the implementation of third-party lease and licence agreements with external parties as required across the CRN network.
The role works with our regional stakeholders and the contracted service providers to ensure that TfNSW meets its property specific obligations and continues to deliver property, project and community services adding value to TfNSW and regional NSW.

In order to be successful in the role, you will have extensive experience in project/property management and demonstrated experience in successful delivery of proactive property portfolio management outcomes. You have demonstrated experience in working within relevant legislative frameworks relating to acquisition, property management and disposal as well as experience in both internal and external stakeholder management across a complex and diverse property portfolio.
As a critical communicator, you have highly developed communication and negotiation skills and the ability to provide high level advice regarding various complex CRN property matters across the network. You’re able to balance the competing needs and expectations of stakeholders, given the range of different stakeholder perspectives, while remaining focused on outcomes.

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is Transport Service Grade 9 – ($135,898 – $ 152,204) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
