UGL’s Services Division is engaged under Head Contracts by our defence and government, oil and gas, mining, and power clients to support certain aspects of their operations. Although UGL self-performs much of this work, often specialist aspects must be subcontracted to third party vendors. We are currently looking for a Subcontracts Officer to provide expert and authoritative procurement and subcontracting advice to internal stakeholders.

This role can be based in either, Brisbane QLD or Melbourne VIC.

About the Role

  • You will facilitate the development of\:
    • procurement plans that define key aspects of the procurement strategy; and
    • procurement schedules that identify all Subcontract relationships that must be establishment.
  • Identify and administer commercial, contractual, operational, financial, and reputational supply chain risks to minimise negative impacts on procurement and subcontract objectives
  • Building strong and robust working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong background negotiating, forming and executing subcontract agreements.

About You

  • Have a relevant degree or qualifications in business, engineering, finance, supply chain or project management.
  • You will have relevant experience in comparable procurement environments and relatable industries
  • A demonstrable understanding of Strategic Supply Planning, Category Management, Strategic Sourcing (Direct and Indirect) and Contract Management.
  • Strong background negotiating, forming and executing subcontract agreements.
  • Experience in developing and interpreting data analysis.
  • Strong negotiation skills and excellent verbal and written communications skills.
