About the role
We are currently seeking a Planning and Project Controls Engineer to be site based in Heathcote on our More Trains More Services project.
Laing O'Rourke has secured a five-year programme of significant rail infrastructure works on the rail network in southern Sydney and surrounds. Works include earthworks, drainage, track work, overhead traction wiring, substations, signalling, platforms, bridges, buildings and building services across multiple sites. The works occur inside a live operational rail corridor with occasional weekend works during track possessions.
- Functional responsibility for Project/ Section with low complexity/ responsibility
- Compliance with Process & Best Practice
- Maintenance of programme and other time related material
- Contribution to the production of robust Project Controls and accurate reporting and forecasting
- Contribute to short-term planning [low complexity]
- Intermediate project planning and project controls delivery experience
- Rail experience highly desirable
- Work well under pressure
- Experience of interfacing with the client team
- Good communicator – Verbal and written
- Microsoft project and Primavera P6 experience
- PRISM experience an advantage
From time to time this role will require possession work on weekends / day shift or night shift and public holidays. This will be compensated on top of your salary or time in lieu will be provided.
