The Role

We are looking for a software engineer to join the ViewPoint software team. ViewPoint is a web-based real time market data and trading app, designed for retail users. You'll be working with a supportive, close-knit, agile team on key stability and performance initiatives as well as feature improvements for our trading and market data software product.

This role comes with flexibility and lots of work from home options etc!

What you will be doing

  • Delivering high quality projects with involvement from inception to deployment

  • A focus on data-driven value

  • Liaise with Business Analysts, User Experience, Development and Quality Assurance team members to clarify technical requirements and implement the required functionality

  • Contribute to Iress’ continual drive for Process Improvement

  • Write clean, testable

  • Work with a varied tech stack

  • CI/CD and infrastructure as code that is maintainable and easily understood by your peers.

  • Work with AWS

  • Delivering iteratively, using feedback to plan the next step.

  • Working collaboratively to help you team continually improve

What you will need

  • Work with a varied tech stack including:JavaScript, TypeScript, JS frameworks such as React, Redux and Knockout, HTML, CSS, Node.js, ASP.NET, Webpack and Python

  • You thrive on challenge, are resilient and get a kick out of solving difficult problems.

  • You have a quality and usability-mindset and passion for learning and sharing best practice.

  • You have a logical, methodical approach to finding solutions and use data to help drive decisions.

  • Eagerness to share, learn from others, discuss your thinking and pair for the best possible outcomes.

  • You are a good communicator, able to clearly explain your line of thinking, as well as solicit other points of view
