Our Exciting Opportunity:

Ericsson Australia is growing! As a result, we are now looking for a Solution Architect who will work in Strategic Competence Unit (SCU) within Network Design and Optimisation (NDO), a highly qualified global team at Ericsson. You will be working at the cutting edge of technology (ML, 5G, IoT, AEO, and VoLTE/VoNR) and will be involved with projects in many diverse global locations. In this role, you will be a domain specialist and a go-to person in the field of Radio Network Design and Optimisation. Although this position is based in Sydney or Melbourne, Australia, you will be required to travel extensively to Ericsson and Customer sites around the world, for both short and long duration assignments

In this role, you would:

  • Manage E2E technical solutions to our customer, in some cases including Core and IMS
  • Help Ericsson sales team by developing, documenting, and explaining E2E services solutions to customer
  • Design and develop commercially and operationally viable end-to-end technical /complex solutions, for operators’ technical and business requirements
  • Present and discuss new technology details to C-Level and technical audience.
  • Manage customer expectations, implementation of customer solutions within agreed time, scope and cost
  • Handle discussion with Customers (Technical Staff and Senior Management), understand customer requirements
  • Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation and information sharing

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering or IT (Masters or PHD will be favorable)
  • Significant experience in Radio Access Network (RAN), especially in Network Design and Optimisation and adept presales experience providing services solutions to customers
  • R & D background will be considered if willing to adapt the expertise to NDO customer engagements and new services development
  • Deep Technical knowledge in one of the following: ORAN, Cloud RAN, 5G, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (ML & AI) applied to NDO services, and Application Experience Optimization
  • Creating innovative services and solutions
  • At least 2 years Vendor experience and deep technical knowledge other than Ericsson (Nokia, Samsung, or Huawei) is an advantage
  • Proven track record in defining complex solutions analyzing technical, operational and business aspects, communicate them and engage with business partners and customers, and lead the Solution Responsible area during the implementation
  • Programming skills/experience in languages; Python - Pandas & NumPy, Pyspark, Hadoop, Git repository or similar
