The Global Speciality Practice Acceleration Team in the APJC region for Security and Infrastructure is growing and we are looking for an experienced Senior Practice Manager, to report into the Practice Leader.

We’re looking for a highly experienced security world leader to join our Global Speciality Practice. This leader will lead by example, get technically involved in engagements and drive global best practice and build innovative new offerings working directly on high profile customer engagements, with partners and internal consulting teams. This leader will act as change agent to support our most strategic customers. We need someone who will thrive in a fast-paced environment and will be able to earn the customer’s trust while providing their thought leadership, perspective and guidance on developing and executing hands-on an innovative security strategy.

As a senior member of this team, you will lead and actively deliver engagements that help customers across all aspects of information security management as well as business and regulatory compliance using cloud services in large-scale enterprise computing environments.
As a Principal Security Consultant you think strategically and analytically about our customer's business and technical challenges, leverage existing best practice and form innovative ideas to solve them. You have a keen sense of ownership and entrepreneurship, and, most importantly, you know how to earn trust, influence others and think big.
You will work cross-organizationally to deliver results collaborating with our security and compliance consultants on architecture guidance, lead proof-of-concept projects, and conduct customer workshops. AWS Security consultants collaborate with customers and partners to address security and compliance challenges, and implement and migrate customer solutions and workloads onto AWS.

The right candidate will have experience being actively involved in executing large-scale security governance and transformation programs, and influencing executives and building trust to create bias for action and move customer workloads into the cloud securely aligned to the customer business need and security risk and compliance appetite. This includes a proven track record of security leadership, strong hands-on experience in writing code with technical depth, implementing security controls, customer-obsessed and collaborative approach, strong data and metrics bias and a good understanding of cloud solutions.

This is a customer facing role. You will be required to travel to client locations to deliver professional services when needed.


Responsibilities include:
  • Solutions - Define and deliver on-site technical engagements with enterprise and key customers and partners. This includes leading the security engagements, participating in pre-sales on-site visits, understanding customer security and compliance requirements, proposing and delivering packaged offerings, and delivering custom solution engagements.
  • Expertise - Collaborate with AWS field sales, pre-sales, training and supporting teams to help customers and partners learn and use AWS security services in key market verticals & regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, life sciences, and energy.
  • Delivery - Engagements will include delivering architectural guidance, lead proof-of-concept projects, conducting customer workshops and technical delivery. AWS Security consultants collaborate with customers and partners to address security and compliance challenges, and implement and migrate customer solutions and workloads onto AWS. This will be done via onsite customer projects.
  • Insights - Working with customers, partners and local consulting teams to identify new innovative solutions and building these, to support customers moving their workloads to AWS.
    We are open to basing this role in Australia or Singapore. This is a customer facing role therefore you may be required to work remotely and also travel to client locations in Asia Pacific, Japan and Greater China to deliver professional services where required.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • A proven leader with strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to lead effectively across organisations
  • Extensive experience in IT security and security leadership
  • Strong consulting and customer facing leadership experience
  • Evidence of the ability to lead effectively and influence within organisations
  • Experience implementing security controls in enterprise environment
  • Strong scripting skills, eg. Python, Node.js, Javascript, PowerShell, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc
  • Strong hands-on technical experience & expertise in technology automation, implementation, integration, and/or deployment
  • Technical expertise (design and implementation) in Cloud Computing technologies
  • Ability to travel to client locations to deliver professional services as needed

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Extensive experience in IT cloud security and infrastructure.
  • Notable customer consulting experience and collaboration skills
  • Evidence of the ability to lead effectively within organisations
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
• Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to lead effectively across organisations
