The role
Working as part of our global People team, you will provide advice and support to the People Team and People Leaders across Iress, contributing to the delivery of an effective and efficient people support service. You will be responsible for providing first-line response for all operational queries and effectively updating and maintaining our People systems (Workday, Jira, Slack) to ensure data integrity is achieved at all times.

We are recruiting 2 roles and are open to Melbourne or Sydney locations

What you will be doing

  • Ensuring that employee information, correspondence and employee files are kept up to date, including specific administrative responsibilities for managing and monitoring the arrangements for new starters, maternity leave, transfers, secondments, resignations and retirements.

  • Interpreting and applying people policies and ensuring these are understood and followed, as well as contributing to the development of future operational procedures.

  • Actively participating in the implementation of people projects and programs of work as required both regionally and globally.

  • Producing and maintaining effective operational reporting for the people team and key stakeholders including ad-hoc reporting as required.

  • Developing effective professional relationships with People Leaders in order to work in partnership to meet the needs of the business.

What you will need

  • Proven experience within an HR operational role in a small-medium organisation, with exposure to working across a range of stakeholders, with proven knowledge of local employment legislation

  • Previous experience working with an HR system - Workday would be preferable.

  • Commercial awareness coupled with a high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with a variety of internal stakeholders

  • A consultative approach and the ability to successfully work within a global team

  • Strong attention to detail and confidence in working with data

  • International mobility and visa management knowledge would be highly desirable
