About the role
The role of the Principal Signalling Engineer will be the subject matter expert on rail signalling and provide technical leadership to the respective signalling teams on a project by project basis
- Signalling is responsible for the design of systems and processes in accordance with project specifications and as guided or directed by the Project Engineer/Design Manager.
- Preparation of Signalling designs, reports and conceptual designs.
- Assisting with Project planning and new project bids.
- Overseeing maintenance plans and reviews and operational studies.
- Participating in design reviews in a collaborative team environment.
You will thrive in a technical environment, and able to solve a problem. Ideally you will have\:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Excellent communications skills both written & oral with the ability to negotiate and influence
- Ability to work both independently and within a flexible team environment
- Competencies in Vline or MTM
- Experienced with designing major Rail Infrastructure Rail Systems/ Signalling.
