About the Role

We are looking for a Specialist Trainer to join our high performing Perth team to work as the link between technical expert and trainer facilitator. Reporting to the Training Supervisor, your communication skills and proactive nature will enable you to deliver training packages with key responsibilities:

  • Delivery of training packages and Adapting presentation
  • Building of training packs for the remote mine control department
  • Understanding of drill control operations and terminology
  • Reviewing content of operational training programs
  • Communication and building of solid relationships

About You

We have a strong focus on finding individuals with the right values, leadership capability, and communication skills. Your interpersonal skills will foster collaborative working relationships across operational teams. You will have access to technology that will enable you to work flexibly, which is key to BHP’s success in addressing the requirements of a diverse workforce. Key requirements include:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence others
  • Demonstrated hands on training with Cert IV in Training desirable
  • Effective analytical and assessment of training programs
  • Trade experience within the mining industry desired but not essential


Based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower - ‘City Square’. You will have stunning river views from your modern open plan office, state of the art facilities including quiet rooms, breakout spaces and video conferencing facilities, 550 bicycle racks with ample lockers, showers and change room amenities and a large outdoor terrace with barbecues.
