Relationships build success and we are looking for our next relationship builder to join our plant managing team, as a Plant Field Manager . Overseeing the part of the lower Waikato region, you can be based from our location in Taupo or Taumarunui or any other branches we have across the Waikato.

You’ll be ensuring all plant assets are kept maintained and compliant but will also be responsible for the effective management of local and company assets (plant, trucks and equipment), optimising plant use and achieving target results. With a big customer focus, you’ll ensure all relationships, both external and internal are looked after and enhanced by offering continual feedback, maximising availability, and return on investment.

About the role
You’ll be focused on developing relationships with internal customers, external service providers and suppliers to ensure we are utilising and optimising effective resources.

Other day-to-day activities will include:

  • Collaborating and contributing to operational meetings to bring new ideas and assist with creating new and effective ways of working
  • Management of repairs, maintenance and compliance in order to maximise up-time
  • Evaluation of repair options, managing job scopes and extracting maximum value from our external supply network – ensuring effective cost management
  • Extensive travel through-out the Waikato Region from Coromandel to Turangi and everywhere in between

About you
As an experienced relationship builder, you’ll bring your adaptable and flexible communication and negation skills with customers and major suppliers. You’ll couple this with experience in managing assets which could include plant and equipment. You’ll also have proven planning and organisational skills and have a clear understanding of leadership behaviours that empower others. Let’s not forget you’ll be confident and efficient with using computers and windows systems.
