About the role
Recently, we have been on a transformational journey to leverage the benefits available through the introduction of next-generational technology and prepare the network operations to be future-ready.
We are now looking for a Trainer to join our Next Generation Network Operations (NGNO) Project Team to take ownership of the crucial training phase of this project.
You will be accountable for the training needs analysis, training material development, coordination and delivery through to assessment of training programs to ensure that our workforce has the skills and capabilities required. As you support employees through the successful achievement of learning outcomes, you will play a key role in building the technical expertise and capability within Powerlink and throughout the Energy industry.
Working with Vendors, you will design, develop and deliver tailored training materials and associated implentation documentation in coordination with the Project Manager. You will prepare a training schedule, providing learning statuses for all impacted employees, and also monitor and evaluate all training programs to ensure their effectiveness.
Critical to your success in this role will be your ability to manage multiple tasks and work to multiple deadlines simultaneously, ideally within an environment that is technical, field-based, high risk, highly regulated or complex; a medium to large organisation that operates 24/7.
You are used to working with a variety of stakeholders, and therefore your verbal communication skills are highly developed and adaptive, allowing you to communicate in a succinct, accurate and timely manner within a complex and high risk environment.
With an Advanced Diploma in Adult Education, Vocational Training or a related field, coupled with your Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, this role will also call upon your advanced Microsoft Office skills, and your well-honed problem-solving and analytical skills.
You will have ideally been involved with a large scale digital systems roll-out project before, where your experience and approaches will be well-honed to deliver effective and engaging training programs with in a project environment.
