Your new role
In this role, you will take responsibility for data gathering, interpretation and analysis, in order to identify key insights and incorporate supporting commentary for regular and ad hoc reporting. On a monthly basis you will either be providing or supporting the development of management reports along with ad hoc cost analysis for various stakeholders. You will drive continuous improvement in reporting, forecasting, budgeting, planning and analysis activities. You will also have the opportunity to prepare cost information for benchmarking surveys and produce competitor analysis based on results.
As this position supports the wider Finance Partners team, you will have the opportunity to learn and understand each function of the Fund and provide commercial assistance and strategically support businesses as appropriate, E.G. the development of financials for business cases, challenging assumptions and ensuring feasibility and alignment to the Funds strategy. Along with supporting the Senior Finance Partners in presenting accurate financial matters on various forums.
What you'll need
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance and have your CA/CPA.
- Advanced analytical skills are essential as is the ability to identify when data and analysis is materially incorrect and implement solutions.
- Familiarity with complex organisations encompassing multiple states, cost centres, projects, business lines etc. and how this can be configured in an accounting system.
- A developed ability to understand business objectives and drivers, and how these translate into financial measures.
- Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to present ideas, perspectives and issues to senior management.
