About the team
The Operations Planning team sits within the Customer and Service Planning branch of the Operations Customer & Place-making division of Sydney Metro. Working within Sydney Metro’s matrix structure the team of operations and maintenance specialists support the development, delivery and implementation of Sydney Metro projects.
We have an opportunity for Senior Manager Operations Planning to join Australia’s biggest public transport infrastructure program, reshaping transport solutions and making a genuine difference for the people of NSW.
The role will see you manage the provision of subject matter expert advice in relation to rail service specification and operations planning for Sydney Metro. The role supports the Associated Director Operations Planning as an advocate for overall metro operating outcomes.

- Ability to undertake and assist with options identification and assessment in relation to rail service specification and operations planning to drive value for money decisions
- As an experienced team leader, you will be adept in understanding and dealing with technical and relationship challenges. Finding solutions and leading resolution.
- Using proven communication and stakeholder management skills you will be developing trusted and productive internal and external business relationships.
- Demonstrated experience in rail/metro service specification and/or operations planning
- The role requires tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or relevant professional experience and demonstrated professional self-development.
