About the role
The Asset Lifecycle Engineer is responsible for the conduct of strategic Asset Management analyses and activities, balancing technical management and operational capabilities against cost drivers and contractual constraints/limitations of the Warship Asset Management Agreement (WAMA).
Based in Rockingham and reporting to the Asset Manager the responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assess operational data, trends and changes for designated systems. This will include writing reports and responding to investigations.
- Lead system specific Asset Management Plans to maintain operational effectiveness (reliability, availability, maintainability and capability).
- Assess subcontractor support solution changes.
- Drive and Influence the progression and implementation of Engineering Changes and Support Solutions using a risk based approach.
- Provide input and recommendations for the continuous improvement of company processes and standard procedures.
- Prepare business cases for consideration of options.
- Review peer work, identify risks and unknowns and support planning activities.
- Engineering degree/qualification or experience in the required field.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated data analytics and problem solving.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, in particular Word and Excel.
- Proficient in the principles and applications of RAM, FMECA, RCM, LORA, FRACAS, Sparing and LCC analyses methodologies.
- Knowledge of the application of Integrated Logistics Support, Life Cycle Costing and Total Cost of Ownership principles.
- Knowledge of the Systems Engineering lifecycle
- Must be an Australian Citizen & must either hold, or be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
