Your Role and Responsibilities
The Associate Partner (AP) in the Security Services Practice helps to lead the growth and management of all facets of the business, primarily by using this position and perspective to assist the local markets. This requires demonstrating thought leadership, sales leadership and delivery leadership in the core domain of Identity Access Management (IAM). Must be willing to travel 75% annually across APAC, including international travel. Travel is dependent on where IAM business engagements are being conducted across the APAC markets (ASEAN, Korea, China/Hong Kong, India, Australia).

For this role you are a tenured IAM security consultant and expert. You are familiar with consulting methods such as Minto, and outcome based consulting engagements. As the APAC IAM lead, you are the foremost expert on IAM consulting, and excel in being the regional expert. Additionally you are familiar with various IAM security products, and can create the structures needed for complex IAM programs.

You must have previous experience in:
  • Participating in the collection and analysis of existing business and technical requirements to develop Enterprise-wide Identity and Access Management (IAM) processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrating a deep understanding of risk and change management, security policies and controls, user account life-cycle management, roles based access, access management, and directory.
  • Translating client's business requirements into specific system, application or process designs.
  • Working as a team member with client personnel and other IBM teams to identify functional requirements and subsequently working with or in some instances leading others in the identification, justification and design of the client's solution.
  • May be required to participate in a wide range of design activities, from requirements analysis through systems, application and/or process design specification and implementation.
  • This position requires knowledge across multiple platforms, processes or architectures.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and shift smoothly between roles as advisory team member, team technical lead, and project lead as required.
  • Use your experience and exposure to a broad range of Access IAM products and domains with the ability to learn new products either through self-study or formal training.
  • Knowledge and experience with IBM IAM products or similar is a core requirement as are Java and multi-operating System (OS) Platform skills.
  • Possess demonstrable organization skills and communications skills - written/verbal

  • Work with APAC & global solutions teams and across local markets to provide content to drive deals to successful closing
  • Domain expert in Identity and Access Management (IAM) consulting.
  • Work closely with the APAC & global solution design teams in developing client presentations and Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Owner to ensure geos understand capabilities, offerings, client references
  • You are a recognized thought leader in IAM, utilizing conferences, white papers, client presentations
  • Accountable for driving signings in APAC
  • Working with APAC teams to help organize project approaches and teams for client delivery
  • Own in project delivery with the APAC portfolio lead, to varying degrees depending on project complexity and APAC market needs
  • Anticipate and resolve project issues as they arise
  • Establish demonstrated client strategic advisory relationships in key accounts to help progress the Security Services portfolio

  • Provide APAC practice leadership by facilitating a community of like-minded practitioners to share and exchange ideas for practice growth and improvement
  • Contribute content and advice to the offering development process
  • Help shape the emerging model of the APAC Security Practice

  • Help establish capability and skill models
  • Become a role model for global practitioners in IAM
Required Professional and Technical Expertise
  • At least 10 years of experience in management consulting and IAM security in a top tier professional services firm
  • At least 8 years of experience working in projects related to IAM
  • At least 3 years of experience working across diverse teams to facilitate solutions
  • At least 3 years of experience working with security consulting teams
  • Readiness to travel 75% annually, including international travel
Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise :
  • At least 15 years of experience in management consulting and systems integration in a top tier professional services firm
  • At least 8 years of experience working with security consulting teams
  • At least 5 years of experience working in international deployment roles
