About the opportunity
We are seeking applications for the role of Operator at our Portland Aluminium Smelter. We will consider all levels of experience; whether you are an experienced operator or have a real passion to work in our industry, with transferrable skills to offer.
Operators at Alcoa Portland Aluminium work in the Smelting production process, performing a range of duties to ensure production occurs in a safe and efficient manner, with on-the-job training provided.
The responsible nature of these roles requires self-starters who enjoy working in a supportive team environment and who can take responsibility for their part of the production process.
Flexibility is required, as an Operator role may workdays (Monday – Friday) or on a 12-hour rotating shift roster; working days, nights and weekends.
