This role will have the ability to identify, lead and shape a variety of exciting Market Development initiatives working across categories of solutions delivered by Financial, Ecosystem and Strategic Partners.

Initiatives are primarily centred around increasing visibility, engagement and usage of our solutions within our small businesses and partner channel accountant and bookkeepers in Australia and New Zealand as well as developing the capability for our Partnerships team to be operationally excellent through better use of data and insights, automation and through creation and streamlining of processes.

This role works with a very broad group of stakeholders from across Xero including Partnerships, Ecosystem, Product (and Product Marketing), Digital, Global Customer team, Legal and Strategy teams together with regional Partner Sales and Marketing teams to agree, and deliver on the priorities for the AU and NZ businesses and execute on our global strategy.

You will lead, or play a key supporting role, in the delivery of a range of exciting market development initiatives including (but not limited to):

  • Enabling easier access to, and smarter use of Data: Working closely with the Data Team, Product Commercial Directors and Sales Ops together with Regional and Global stakeholders to further build out data access, reporting and insights capability that support Market Development objectives
  • AU & NZ Partner Sales, Enterprise and Direct Sales Channel Activation. Work closely with the Head of Market Development to embed and operationalise the GTM channel engagement model in AU & NZ building on pilot success to date. Lead a variety of initiatives including internal/ external presentations, training and sales enablement/support.
  • Operational Reporting: Lead work to define requirements, implement and maintain a series of operational reports to assist the APAC Partnerships Director and leadership team track and monitor the team’s progress and success.
  • Awareness and Demand Generation: working closely with AU & NZ Regional Marketing and Education teams and supporting global stakeholders on development, delivery and execution of an ongoing program of activities (marketing campaigns, events, education programs) with the aim of driving awareness, building demand and increasing connection and usage of apps by SMBs and AB Partners
  • Priority Initiatives: Lead and support work on various regional or global initiatives as/when required from time to time. For example APAC Partnerships Intern and Grad Program, App Partner Program refresh, App Marketplace categorisation refresh etc.

  • Continuous delivery of a program of industry leading initiatives supporting each Partner Group that build awareness and generate demand for solutions at a category level
  • Increased App Category Awareness, Attach, Usage by both SMBs and our AB Partners resulting in achievement of stretch Revenue Growth targetsDelivery of a series of useful and insightful operational reports enabling the team to timely celebrate success and address challenges powered by data
  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships throughout the wider organisation, particularly Global Partnerships, Ecosystem, Product, Marketing Strategy, Legal, Finance and Customer Teams
