Your Role and Responsibilities
We are searching for an experienced Cloud Solution Consultant to join our CAI Manage on Cloud Services team. You’ll be working alongside a Business Development Executive who will be working to generate new leads, you will support in the closure of large and complex Manage on Cloud deals.

Key to this role, will be bringing the various SME's together to form a consolidated solution to meet client requirements with a focus on Manage on Cloud services. You’ll be required to develop compliant solutions with IBM Sales and Solution Methods and Tools and gaining the support of various stakeholders. You will also work with Global Teams and require being confident with performing in a virtual work environment. It is critical that this role leads the development of the approved solution within the parameters set leveraging the best of IBM.

You are tech savvy and knowledgeable around Application Manage and Hybrid Cloud Services and can lead strategic outsourcing engagements. You’re a clear communicator and natural relationship builder, able to present and communicate technical information to close deals with stakeholders of all levels including c-suite level executives.

What will I be doing day to day?
  • Leveraging Growth Platform and Service Lines with focus on transformation for Manage on Cloud.
  • You may lead multiple opportunities concurrently although typically in different sales stages and have assigned contract signings.
  • Mastering and applying expert knowledge of the client's business, strategies and goals within the industry. You’ll form in-depth knowledge of the client's major IT architectures, systems, information flows, applications and their links to customers and suppliers. Understand the framework within which an industry operates and the underlying competitive strategies.
  • You will be responsible for the development of deliverables, such as client proposal and presentations. You’ll drive and manage an effective partnership with the clients and conducts client negotiations on very complex issues at the senior executive level reaching lasting agreements and commitments.
  • Working to anticipate future client problems in industry and information technology trends and develops realistic visions and strategies based on risk management plans. You'll make decisions based on scope of the deal and possible trade-offs to best meet client's objectives within the limits necessary to win the contract. You'll apply creativity and judgment in developmental work on very complex opportunities or other projects within the business environment. Develop relationships with clients and external associations to enhance position in the market.
  • Directing resource team to ensure appropriate quantity and quality of technical/services resources are deployed. Lead team of professionals and provides ongoing guidance in the development of solutions for large or complex opportunities. Accountable for business unit and specific personal objectives, including contract signings, profit, expense, and customer satisfaction.
What skills and experience do I need to apply?
  • Sound knowledge of Manage on Cloud services, Application Management and Hybrid Cloud solutions
  • Proven background in successfully pursuing and closing large complex sales deals
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, and easily adapt to new assignments, system, tools; produce clear, concise, accurate written communication, clearly conveying thoughts and ideas to peers, management, and customers; establish and maintain positive work relationships with peers, management, and customers
  • Ability to develop strategies and tactics that will win business, including teaming arrangement, alliances, subcontractors, competitive strategies, tactics and response
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry trends, directions and goals as well as competitive strategies and offerings
  • In-depth working knowledge of the industry and an ability to market very complex IBM solutions, products and services that are specific to an industry
  • We are expecting excellent executive presentation skills, an ability to mask complexity, and understand the technical, business and financial levers behind each solution, as well as managing teams and managing client expectations.
  • You should have track record of success with ten years of experience selling complex technology solutions to business buyers.
  • You should have recent and extensive track record in developing and closing large/complex deals in Australia.
Due to the relationship building nature of this role, periods of frequent travel are anticipated.
