Here's your chance to work as a Senior Manager of Business Development in our Training & Certification team. This is a highly visible position with significant customer impact.

In this role, you will lead 2-4 business development managers in the ANZ region for Commercial Australia and work closely with our AU Commercial and Territory customers to craft training programs that will drive adoption and usage of AWS services.

Lead the team, you will assist customers to understand their training requirements, develop detailed training proposals and manage the flawless execution of training plans. You will be part of the ANZ T&C Leadership team and support the development and execution of the Australia strategy for Training & Certification. This will include identifying, qualifying and recommending the education solutions for AU Enterprise and SMB clients and business partners, assisting the team to close opportunities, and working with Trainer and operations team to ensure successful delivery of the education, and ensuring amazing post sales client satisfaction results across AU.   • Lead a team of 2-4 Business Development Managers across AU to deliver on key goals for T&C goals for customers.
  • Work closely with AU Commercial and Territory AWS Customers and Account Teams to determine training requirements and build detailed training plans and plans to accelerate adoption of AWS Services.
  • Define Training & Certification and skills development strategy together with the ANZ T&C Lead for Large Enterprise Segment and SMB in AU and agree with LE leadership on goals and measures for success.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with sales leaders and across functional teams to ensure flawless execution of training programs.
  • Build & maintain a pipeline of training opportunities and provide regular forecasts / business reviews to senior management in T&C.
  • Become proficient in the various AWS Training & Certification offerings and delivery capabilities.
  • Achieve and exceed key goals including number of students trained, revenue, certification and other key business metrics.
  • Combine Training plans with the ability to deliver through AWS Training Partners.
  • Collaborate with the Partner training team in driving tandem training plans with Partners.
  • Build collaboration between the re/Start, Adacemy and Educate teams where applicable within the large enterprise and SMB accounts.
  • Continue to manage a set of AU accounts.


  • 8-10 years experience managing fast growing business development teams.
  • 8-10 year’s sales and business development experience, preferably in the IT Training industry in Australia.
  • Ability to communicate (written and verbal)
  • Experience managing sales pipelines including forecasting, funnel analysis and working knowledge of SFDC.
  • Experience in managing external vendors, distributors, partners or learning providers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven business development experience at CxO level.
  • Experience conducting Training Needs Assessments and developing training plans. Experience engaging and presenting to senior executives (CXO level).
  • Strong commercial experience and business acumen.
  • Previous experience working in large multi-national companies.


  • MBA or Business Degree or 8-10 years experience in Business Development in the IT sector or Training/Education Sector.
  • A technical background in engineering or computer science.
  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services or Cloud Computing concepts.
  • Marketing, operations and training delivery experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
